CBD Launches Survey on Joint Activities Among Rio Conventions

The Executive Secretary of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) has launched a survey to initiate consultations on possible joint activities among the three Rio Conventions, following a request by the 14th meeting of the CBD Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice (SBSTTA 14), held from 10-21 May 2010, in Nairobi, Kenya. CBD focal points are requested, if possible in collaboration with focal points and other counterparts as appropriate under the UNFCCC and the UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), to complete the survey, which includes elements for collaboration already called for by the Rio processes.
