Action Plan on Forests and the Green Economy

On 10- 11 May 2011, the Forestry and Timber Section of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) with the support of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) organized a “Stakeholder meeting on an Action Plan on Forests and the Green Economy.” The meeting aimed to review and discuss a draft Action Plan on Forests and considered the conditions needed to make the forest sector an integral part of the green economy.
