UNODC - 54th session of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND)

On 21-25 March, the Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND) held its 54th session in Vienna. The CND discussed policy directives to strengthen the drug programme of UNODC, examined the implementation of international drug control treaties, and held round-table discussions on issues, such as regional and international cooperation in combating the world drug problem and its connection with organized crime; the revitalization of the principle of joint and shared
responsibility as the centrepiece of international cooperation regarding the world drug problem; and key public health and safety issues such as addictive behavi! ours of youth or drugged driving. (...)
